Inspired by his mother, a single parent who was the second employee at a financial advisory firm, Matt Evans found his calling in the financial services industry. He admired her strength and dedication, and it’s that same spirit he brings to his work every day.

A 20-plus-year industry veteran, Matt earned a degree in insurance and risk management from Missouri State University and served as a senior vice president of business development at an advisory firm before founding Mortgage Free Life in 2022. His greatest satisfaction comes from teaching people more efficient ways to reach their goals, whether it’s owning a home, planning a vacation or preparing for retirement. His advice? “Develop a single, solid financial plan encompassing all areas of life and remember to love people and use things instead of loving things and using people.”

Matt and his wife, Christee, have called Lake St. Louis, Missouri, home for over two decades. Matt is the proud father of four children: Kyle, Hannah, Blake and Grant. When he’s not leading Mortgage Free Life, he enjoys sushi dinners and early morning workouts with Christee. He’s also passionate about his ministry, Kuvnyl, which teaches inner-city kids how to bow hunt. “It’s the most rewarding part of my life after my kids and relationship with Jesus,” he said.
